“We Fall Forward to Succeed” -Mary Kay Ash
Hello everyone -good to connect with you today.
Recently I wrote a blog about falling down. It was inspired by my son who was learning to walk. He taught me that I need to get back up as many times as I fall. Now he is running, by the way. He still falls now and then, but he gets back up and forges boldly onward.
How do you deal with falling down? Does falling down crush you, defeat you, or eliminate you? I read Eckhart Tolle’s book, A New Earth, which has inspired me to decide that I would rather sparkle than disappear. Picture this – a rock. This rock is placed under an insurmountable amount of pressure. It has two choices…it can crumble into dust (wow that’s easy) or it can — emerge as a diamond.
It has been my joy to connect with people all over this precious world. We all have our moments when we fall and crumble. It is our common bond. Do we have to be defined by all of our crumbles? Is falling down a big stop sign that prevents us from achieving what is ours to have? Why not define ourselves by the number of times we have emerged from the dust with a sparkle and a step forward? And you know what – take power over that dust – take all you can from it. I say with every confidence that the moments that test us are the moments that give us knowledge, power, insight, empathy, and integrity. I invite you to realize that we are given those moments so we are better prepared for what lies ahead. How will you ever know the wonders that are ahead for you if you don’t fall forward?
You are a learner, you are a doer, you are capable, you are worthy – it is yours to have. Let me know about the moments you emerge as a diamond!
“Most people live and die with their music still unplayed. They never dare to try.”
