MSHA Bestows Award to TinyEYE for Providing Quality Services

“Receiving an award for passion and commitment is far greater than winning in any other category.” ~ David, TinyEYE

Hi Everyone,

All of us at TinyEYE are feeling incredibly grateful that the Montana Speech-Language-Hearing Association (MSHA) has bestowed us with a meaningful award. The certificate reads:

“Recognizing TinyEYE for their passion and commitment to providing quality services to children with communication needs.”

The essence of this award resonates MSHA awardso deeply with us because it articulates and validates our purpose that began nearly a decade ago. We believe that all children should have equal access to quality therapy services. We believe that professionals should have quality tools so that they can make a difference. Ultimately, we believe in growing smiles, mending spirits, and engaging children in their lives.

This moment brings me back to the days when all we had in our pockets and our hearts was our beliefs, our passion, and our commitment. Armed with resolve, we have partnered with school districts, associations, and legislation bodies to remove barriers that made it difficult for the children to access support. A beautiful milestone for us was spending a day last summer with Montana’s speech-language pathologists at the MSHA Summer Institute. Our aligned mission is to provide accessible, high quality services that achieve goals and improve lives montana mountainsfor our children, schools, and families. We celebrated that, on November 1, 2013, the State of Montana will enact Bill 230, which supports telepractice as a quality therapy delivery platform when implemented within the scope of best practice. My recent blog outlined the benefits of telepractice awaiting Montana. Today, our online speech-language pathologists and online occupational therapists are serving children across the continents of this big world. Right now, I am recognizing how wonderful it feels to make connections with people who share the same purpose…people like our friends under the big sky – in Montana.
